BLOCK PRINT
Block printing is a highly skilled art form that dates back over 3,000 years. It is kept alive by hereditary artisan communities, called Chhipas, who use hand-carved teak woodblocks to stamp intricate patterns onto natural fabrics. By layering distinct vegetable-based dyes and mud-resist techniques, they create iconic, regionally distinct textiles where each fabric is unique just like a piece of art.
